Benjamin Jones
Benjamin Jones creates haunting images that reveal a distinct visual language. He combines an appreciation of outsider art with a sophisticated technical skill to create his own psychologically compelling style. Through extensive and continuous research, Jones incorporates his awareness of culture and current events into his work, creating drawings that are simultaneously seductive and disconcerting.
Jones received his BFA from the State University of West Georgia. He displays his work in Georgia, London, and Boise. His drawings are included in the prominent collections of the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York; the Philadelphia Museum of Art; the Indianapolis Museum of Art; the High Museum of Southern Art in New Orleans; the Morris Museum in Louisville, Kentucky; the Ogden Museum of Southern Art; the Morris Museum of Art in Augusta, Georgia; and significant corporate and private collections.
